Why NJCOY was founded

Our founder Niko Jokela saw a recurring problem across industries: the most expensive issues in factories often begin already at the design stage or the maintenance development was neglected.

Too often, maintenance was treated as an afterthought. The result: costly shutdowns, delays, and higher lifecycle costs. NJCOY was created to change this. By integrating maintainability into engineering from day one, we ensure safer, more reliable, and cost-efficient plants.

What started as one man’s mission has grown into a multidisciplinary team with diverse skills, helping clients worldwide with the same hands-on approach.

As an EPCM partner for pilot and pre-commercial plants, we ensure facilities are maintainable from day one and built fit for purpose. In larger EPCM projects, we work as part of the owner’s team or project organization, embedding maintenance know-how into design and execution to secure maintainable engineering solutions and avoid costly redesigns later.
